What did the "Dead Poets Society" taught us?

"O, Captain! My Captain! ... Those words have marked us as individuals. Mr. Keating taught us to make our lives extraordinary. To be different. These are 10 life lessons that the dead poets' society taught us:

  1. Don't be afraid to think outside the box.
  2. "No matter what anyone tells you, words and ideas can change the world."
  3. "That which we are, we are."
  4. "Constantly look at things a different way."
  5. "Dare to strike out and find new ground."
  6. True friends will always be there for you.
  7. "You must strive to find your own voice."
  8. "Carpe Diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary. "
  9. "Poetry, beauty, romance, love ... these are what we stay alive for."
  10. Developing the Imagination

There are some things like maths, physics, economics ... yeah they're important but poetry and literature are what makes us humans. Love, that's the idea of this movie. Love for your family, love for your friends, lovers but love for yourself. Ideas will change the world, and the young kids, this new generation can fight for it.

Neil couldn't be happy, but you can. Fight for your future, your ideas, and above all of that fight for yourself. And be happy because dreams do come true, you just have to hold on to that. Find your own voice and look at the world as the way it could be and not as the way it is.
