The viscount who loved me

10.03.2022

Dear reader:

It has come to this author's ears that the world phenomena "Bridgerton" is releasing its second season on March 25, 2022. Two years later we are finally receiving our well-deserved second season. In this paper, this author is going to refresh your memory about what happened in the previous season and what might we expect. Should we begin?

1. Daphne and the Duke

I think that we can all agree that our beautiful Miss Bridgerton, also well-known as the diamond of the season caught the attention of the Duke of Hastings ... Their love story wasn't as easy as we thought it would be. At first, they hated each other, and now they are completely in love. This season used the tropes of fake dating, eventually making both characters fall deeply in love with each other. There are some moments that both shared that are magical, let's see some of them:

1. The first time they meet

The moment both characters meet is kinda funny. She just wanted to escape from Lord Berbrohe and he thinks that she is another lady that wants to be his wife. They didn't even know each other's name, if it wasn't for Daphne's eldest brother Anthony they wouldn't have even started "dating".

2. The duel

The way the Duke reacted thinking that Daphne could have been injured was magical. In this episode, we saw how protective is the duke is towards her future wife.

3. Their hands almost touching

The first type of affection that they both show to each other is while they are admiring a work of art. Their hands were slowly approaching, brushing against each other, waiting for them to be able to collide.

4. Simon rolling his sleeves up at the boxing match

When Anthony takes Daphne to the boxing match to spend more time with Prince Frederick, her head is turned by Simon rolling up his sleeves making him look more handsome than he already is. This example makes sense because in the year 1813 the idea of seeing a man's forearms was extremely rare for a lady.

5. The "Wildest Dreams" sequence

I think that the sequence does not need any type of explanation.

6. "I burn for you"

When he tells Daphne, "I burn for you," I realized how madly in love the Duke is with our Daphne.

2. Anthony as the man of the house

Thanks to the books we know that the father of all the Birdgerton children died at the age of thirty-eight years old. And since that moment Anthony had to take on the lead of being the man of the Bridgerton house. Although he isn't married (for now ... ) he still plays an important part in the series being the man who would help his sister choose a husband and represent the family at all major social events. He had an affair with the opera singer Siena Rosso that did not end well because she wanted to be someone in her own right and he needed a good woman to marry and maintain the family lineage.

3. Eloise being "THE WOMAN"

Eloise Bridgerton is the second daughter and fifth oldest Bridgerton sibling. Clever, self-assured, and independent Eloise has a lot of ideas and isn't hesitant to share them with the rest of the world. Eloise thrives in the company of other thinkers, but she is more reserved when it comes to choosing a spouse.

4. Penelope and Colin

Penelope Featherington is the Featherington family's youngest child. Penelope is commonly referred to as the ugly duckling, despite the fact that her sisters are not the most poised or attractive females in society. Penelope would rather sway softly at the ballroom's edge than taking center stage. She is madly in love with Colin Bridgerton, but he doesn't seem to find any kind of interest in her. He proposed to her friend Marina Thompson, a distant cousin of the Featheringtons, sent to them so she could enter society.  Penelope approached Colin and informed him that Marina had already fallen in love with someone else. Colin dismissed her worries, claiming that he didn't care what Marina had done before they met. In the end, Colin learns that Marina is pregnant and decides that to escape from this dramatic London society his only option is to travel, which he had always wanted to do ...

Penelope and Colin end up being what they have always been ... friends. Hopefully, in this season, we'll get to see more of their relationship.

5. Benedict and his dreams

Benedict Bridgerton is the Bridgerton family's second-oldest child. Benedict, sensitive and lovable, aspire of converting his creative passion into a full-fledged career, and he quickly finds himself searching outside the ton to do so. Benedict revealed his connection with Genevive Delacroix after being invertedly outed by Eloise to his oldest brother, Anthony, and to his astonishment, his brother accepted it. Let's see what is going to happen to him in season 2? Will he achieve his dreams? And what may happen with this relationship with Genevive? Because many fans have classified him as gay or bisexual.

6. Lady Whistledown

In the Bridgerton season 1 conclusion, Penelope Featherington is revealed to be Lady Whistledown, a revelation that adds even more tragedy to her narrative with Colin ... It is known that lady whistledown is persecuted by the whole society, even the queen, as she exposes the grand duchesses, princesses, etc. Will something happen to her in this season?

Time will see ...

Thank you, my dearest reader, for being part of this society paper, and don't forget Bridgerton season 2. March 25, 2022, on Netflix.
